BIOGRAPHY
With over 10 years of experience, Dotan Hammer practices privacy and data protection, software and website licenses and technology licensing agreements, digital (electronic) signatures, copyright issues, open source matters and other aspects of the law relating to computers, the Internet, and information technology.
His work primarily focuses on cyber, data protection and privacy, where he counsels clients on the ins and outs of data and cyber regulation in the United States, the European Union and Israel. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional / Europe (CIPP/E) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and has been involved in large data protection and privacy projects and technology-intensive transactional work. Dotan also advises clients on copyright issues and open-source matters and digital (electronic) signatures.
Dotan completed his academic degree in computer science at the age of 19, later working as a software developer and a technological project leader in the public sector in Israel. He now utilizes his background in technology to focus on the interplay of law and technology and counsels clients in this emerging area in law.
Dotan’s clients range from technology-driven to brick-and-mortar companies. He represents global corporations, mid-size companies, and early stage and mature start-ups in his areas of practice.
