Assaf Weiler is a Partner in the Patent and Intellectual Property Groups and works out of Pearl Cohen’s London and Tel Aviv offices. He is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales and admitted to practice before the United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office. Additionally, he is admitted to the Israeli Bar and to practice before the Israeli Patent Office.
Assaf specializes in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a wide range of technical fields, including communication systems, multimedia systems, medical imaging, electro-optics, electronics, software, and homeland security. He received his LL.B from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and a B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Tel Aviv University, where he majored in digital signal processing.
Assaf previously worked at Appelfeld Zer Fisher as a Patent Attorney and later founded Fisher Weiler Jones, a boutique patent law firm with offices in London and Tel Aviv, where he specialized in proceedings before the European Patent Office. Prior to practicing patent law, Assaf worked as an electronics engineer in the field of integrated circuits design.
