BIOGRAPHY
Austin advises startups and emerging growth companies, guiding them from formation to exit. He also counsels strategic investors and venture capital funds on corporate finance transactions and represents buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions.
His practice includes advising clients on commercial and licensing transactions, with a focus on negotiating complex agreements and building strategic partnerships. He also leads clients through regulatory compliance and government-facing legal challenges, including HSR and CFIUS filings, FinCEN and OFAC compliance, U.S. export controls, and participation in state and federal funding programs.
Before joining Pearl Cohen, Austin served as a Board Member on Manhattan Community Board 4 in New York City. He earned his J.D. from New York Law School and his B.A. from Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at The New School.
