Michel is a Partner in the Corporate and Capital Markets Group at Pearl Cohen’s Tel Aviv office. Michel Handles numerous complex corporate issues, including Corporate investments, M&A and structural changes in companies, Corporate litigation, minority oppression cases and derivative claims. With over 30 years of experience, Michel has been involved in many transactions in private companies and in the capital market.
Michel was the former Chairman of the Forum for Corporations and Capital Markets at the Israel Bar Association, a forum that deals regularly with responses to legislative proposals and legislative initiatives in corporate and capital markets and a Representative of the Israel Bar Association in discussions on the Companies Law, in the framework of the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee of the Knesset (1995-1999).
Michel developed the first course for training directors in a variety of sectors. Many students that he trained are now directors in various fields in the Israeli economy. Michel also developed a unique course to qualify the chairmen of boards of directors and published groundbreaking models and professional literature, including the “The Board Effectiveness Model” – a unique model that has gained note on an international scale, which defines the conditions for the existence of an effective Board of Directors.
