Keren Shmueli represents companies at all stages of the business lifecycle – from establishing a company and founder’s agreement on Day 1, to investment agreements, and on through to the ongoing and daily legal aspects of commercial engagements. Keren manages a diverse corporate practice across many industries, both high-tech and traditional. Her counsel encompasses a spectrum of commercial matters, including High-Tech, Mergers and Acquisitions, Fund Formation, Private Equity, and Joint Ventures.
When it comes to fund formation, Keren adds value because she understands the legal and commercial aspects, both private equity and venture capital funds, as well as those of their portfolio companies. This allows her to advise on either side of the deal, as needed, representing clients from the inception of the funds and the internal arrangements between its partners and managers, on through investments by these funds, as well as portfolio companies engaging in an investment agreement with a fund, all in accordance with the identity of the client and its unique characteristics. Understanding both sides of a deal helps Keren see the big picture, better advise her clients, and successfully negotiate commercial engagements on their behalf.
Before joining Pearl Cohen, Keren worked for several years at Fischer Behar Chen Well Orion & Co, serving as an assistant to the Israel Defense Attaché to North America at the Embassy of Israel in Washington, DC. She worked as a research assistant at Bar-Ilan University and was a member of the editorial board of the Bar-Ilan University Law Review.
