She has experience in patent drafting, international prosecution, validity, and patentability in a variety of subjects including nanotechnology, material science and surface chemistry. Her patent expertise extends to the fields of nanotechnology, electrochemistry, printing, nanostructures, nanoparticles and nanotubes, nanofluidics, material surface interaction, molecular self-assembly, lithography, adhesion and medical devices.

Prior to joining the firm, Anat worked as an assistant professor at Montclair State University, located in Montclair, New Jersey, where her research focused on novel organic-inorganic self-assembled nanostructures. She also worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Penn State University and at Columbia University in collaboration with Lucent Technologies-Bell Laboratories. In her post-doctoral research, she studied the fields of nanofabrication, nanotechnology and molecular electronics. Dr. de Picciotto obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry of Materials and Surface Science, in the laboratory of Prof. Israel Rubinstein, of the Department of Materials and Interfaces at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Her studies involved the construction of organic mono-molecular layers on metal and semiconductor surfaces and structural and electronic characterization of organic multilayers with 3D structures.
