Last week, Pearl Cohen hosted the grand opening event of the Israel – Malta Chamber of Commerce, with the presence of Mr. Carmelo Abela, Malta’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Cooperation, Mr. Tzachi Hanegbi, Israel’s Minister of Regional Cooperation, Mrs. Cecilia Attard Pirotta, Ambassador of Malta to Israel, and Mr. Eyal Sela, Ambassador of Israel to Malta.
The Israel – Malta Chamber of Commerce was co-founded by Senior Partner Anna Moshe, Chair of Pearl Cohen’s Russia & CIS Group, who spoke at the event on why Malta is an ideal location for startups and Israeli companies. Senior Partner Henriette Fuchs, Chair of Pearl Cohen’s International Tax Group, discussed the Tax aspects of doing business in Malta.
After the event, reporters from the Calcalist interviewed Mr. Carmelo Abela, Malta’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Cooperation, who stated that in the past few years, Malta has been experiencing great economic growth, which resulted in the forming of new job opportunities for both the Maltese and for those immigrating into Malta.
